When winter gets closer, a lot of families and weekend riders start asking the same question: should we buy everything now, or start with rentals? At Sports Barn Ski & Sport, we make that choice easier. Our ski rentals services in Yorktown Heights, NY, are built for people who want quality gear, fair pricing, and help from a local team that actually knows the equipment. Since 1978, we have helped beginners, intermediate, and experienced riders get ready for the season, with rentals, retail, and services all under one roof.
Rentals Start October 1st & Due Back April 1st
Not everyone is ready to buy a full ski or snowboard setup, especially if kids are still growing or someone is just getting started. That is why we offer both adult and youth equipment for seasonal and daily rentals. We fit each person properly so the equipment feels right, performs well, and helps create a safer, more enjoyable day on the mountain.
Our rental season opens October 1st, and seasonal rentals are due back by April 1st. We offer both new and used rental options, which gives more flexibility depending on a person’s budget and skill level. We also carry daily rentals for customers who only need equipment for a quick trip.

- Rentals are first come, first serve
- We do not offer rentals for helmets, cross-country skis, or snowshoes
- The complete package includes ski/snowboard, bindings, boots, poles, and boot totes
- You don’t need to rent full packages and instead rent the equipment you need
- We do not take appointments for rentals
- We cannot reserve rentals without each person coming in to be fitted
- Rentals stop 1/2 hour before closing time
- For same-day daily rentals, please call ahead to see if the technician is available and in store

- Seasonal Adult Rental, skis or snowboard only: New $239, Used $149
- Seasonal Junior Rental, skis or snowboard only: New $169, Used $114
- Seasonal Adult Rental, boots only: New $150, Used $70
- Seasonal Junior Rental, boots only: New $100, Used $55
- Daily Rentals: 1st day $45, 2nd day $40, each additional day $30 per day
Fees apply to late returns and to missing or broken items. Boot totes are also part of the rental and must be returned with the equipment.

We also now have SUPERMATIC and Step-On bindings and boots in stock. For customers who want more personalized attention while shopping for gear, we do offer one-on-one appointments with our experienced sales team for purchases.

Good gear needs good maintenance. Our ski shop also offers tuning and adjustment services to help keep your equipment performing the way it should during the entirety of the season.

Our tune shop is temporarily closed from May 1 through September 1 each year so we can complete maintenance and repairs on our machines.
